Who we are

Hyperion App Studio (“Hyperion,” “we,” “us”) provides the ColorPing mobile application. ColorPing is an automated notification aid that checks official color-line recordings and alerts you when your assigned color may have been announced. The official color line and your program’s instructions remain authoritative.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us, information created when you use the app, and limited information from service providers who help us run it.

Account and profile

• Name
• Email address and/or mobile phone number

ColorPing settings

• The color line or jurisdiction you subscribe to
• Your assigned color
• Notification preferences
• In-app alerts about color-line results

Optional features

• Push notifications. If you turn them on, we may store a device token so we can send alerts to that device.
• Ride Angels. If you connect Ride Angels, ColorPing may send appointment details to that app on your behalf, using the settings you choose.

Authentication

ColorPing uses a one-time code sent to your phone or email. We do not use a password. Delivery of those codes is handled by our authentication and messaging providers.

Color-line checks

To detect announced colors, our servers call the official color-line numbers you subscribe to, process the recording, and store the daily result. That process does not place a call to your personal phone number.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect GPS or precise device location
• We do not sell your information
• We do not show ads in the app
• We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the current version

How we use information

We use this information to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Check the color lines you subscribe to and notify you of results
• Send in-app (and, if enabled, push) notifications
• Optionally create related appointments in Ride Angels, if you connect it
• Provide support and keep the service secure and reliable
• Meet legal obligations if we are required to

We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

Who we share information with

We share information with service providers who process it on our instructions — for example hosting, authentication, email, SMS delivery, and the phone service used to call official color lines. They are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.

If you connect Ride Angels, appointment details you authorize may be sent to that app so a ride can be arranged.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect people’s safety, or in connection with a merger or transfer of the service, in which case this policy will still apply or you will be notified of changes.

Data storage and security

ColorPing account and subscription data is stored on hosted infrastructure in the United States. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal information we no longer need, unless we must retain it for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons.

Your choices and rights

You can:

• Change your color-line subscription and assigned color in the app
• Turn off notifications in the app and in your device settings
• Disconnect Ride Angels from ColorPing settings
• Request a copy of your information
• Request that we delete your account and associated personal data

To request access or deletion, email support@hyperionappstudio.com from the address on your account and tell us what you need. We may ask you to verify that you own the account. We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA. To exercise them, use the same email. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.

Children

ColorPing is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required.
